The Greatest Gift of All

April 28, 2011

Abba, during this time of year we are reminded of the leaven of sin in our lives. We all have it and we must all work to clean it out…and keep it out. We know we cannot do it all by ourselves. We need Your help!

Thank You, Abba, for the help You give us! You have sent us Your Son, Yeshua, to pay the price for our sinfulness. To those who have entrusted their spiritual well-being to Yeshua, You have given us His righteousness…and You have called us Your children…something we don’t deserve. You have filled us with Your Ruach/Spirit.

Abba, I thank You for the feasts You have given Your people to teach us more about who we are and who You are…feasts to show us something more about You and Your plans for us. Thank You for giving us things to celebrate with You! Thank You for the Resurrection of Yeshua! I thank You and praise You for Your love and mercy.

Abba, please touch all who need You. Open the eyes and hearts of both nonbelievers and believers so that they can see (and know) that You love them so deeply…so incredibly…not as they can be, but as they are. Thank You, too, that You never leave us as we are. You are always working in our hearts to change us more and more into the image of Yeshua.

Abba, during this time when we are reminded of Yeshua’s victory over death and sin, please help every one of us to really know deep in our hearts all that means. Help us to see the great price paid for us…out of Your amazing love.

There are so many things happening in the world. If it were not for Your love for us, it could be a terrifying world to live in. And for some…it is very scary. It is a world of persecution, of torment, of torture. Strengthen those people, Abba. Help them to sense Your presence in ever deeper ways.

Abba, there are things happening in our country. Many of us are trusting You totally for Your provision. Please help us to so deeply know Your love for us that we keep our eyes and hearts focused on You and Your kingdom…not on our needs. Help us to KNOW You…intimately…deeply.

Please comfort those who mourn. Comfort those who have lost loved ones…who have lost forever dreams of reconciliation. Comfort those who have lost hope and restore to them the joy of Your salvation. Comfort those who are afraid…those who are seeing the precariousness of life. Comfort those whose hearts are crying.

As we face uncertain futures in this world, please help us to always remember the certainty of Your love for us and the certainty of our future with You.

Deliver us from fear…for Your perfect love casts out all fear.

Deliver us from our sinfulness…for You always make a way of escape.

Help us to always walk in Truth. Help us to always live the Truth that Yeshua IS the Way, the Truth and the Life…no matter what “life” throws at us. Help us to always remember that NOTHING happens to us that is not either caused by You or allowed by You. You are sovereign. You are L-rd. You are King. You are the Creator of the universe.

Thank You, Yahweh, for loving us SO much!

Prayer for the Persecuted

March 11, 2011

Abba, there are so many of Your children all around the world being persecuted. They are losing their freedoms, their homes, their jobs, their health and even their very lives. Some are being tortured. Some are imprisoned. Some are sold into slavery. No one is spared…not even the littlest of the children. Unspeakable things are being done against them.

Abba, Yeshua said that He would be with us always, even to the end of the age. I pray that Your persecuted people can sense His presence with them even now…in this very moment and always. May they be strengthened by Your Ruach/Spirit. Yeshua said that we would hated for His name’s sake. Please help all of Your children to be strong. May Your light so shine through them that their enemies know Whom they have really persecuted.

Abba, I beg of You to lift the protection that hasatan has placed around our enemies. I pray “our”, Abba, because when one part of the body of Yeshua is hurting we all hurt. In my country, we have not really experienced persecution…only minor annoyances compared to what other parts of the body are experiencing in other places in the world. Give us tender hearts, Abba. May we not be ignorant of what is going on or unmoved by it when we do know. May we not be complacent when we have an opportunity to help those being persecuted. May we always keep them close in prayer.

Abba, I lift up all who are being persecuted…all who are under attack. Encourage them. Please help them to know that there are those who care and who are lifting them up. Please help them to know that their enemies ARE seeing the truth in them. Please help them to know that their suffering is NOT in vain! Hold them so close to Your heart that they can hear it beating out of love for them. Sweep them into Your arms, Abba.

Abba, touch each one reading this and all of their loved ones. Help them to keep their eyes and hearts focused on You. Help them to know You as they have never known You before. Bring us all into a much deeper walk with You. b’shem Yeshua

February 26, 2011

Abba, this is a time of so much uncertainty. Things are happening all across the world that can cause us to wonder where we are on Your timeline and what is around the corner. Help us to focus on You and not on all that is going on around us. Give us wisdom. Give us the awareness we need and lead us and guide us in the steps YOU want us to take. Protect us from fear.
Abba, I especially lift up those in leadership and their families. Help them to lead Your assemblies wisely. Help them to prepare Your people for whatever is coming. Please cause them to teach wisely. Remove all false teachers and prophets from our midst. Help us to be Bereans…searching the scriptures daily to see if these things truly be so.

Abba, help us all to be bold in sharing You with others. Help us to minister to the lost…to those who are still living in darkness. May our lives be beacons of light to those who need to see. May Your Holy Spirit be so strong and alive in us…may we be so surrendered to You…that those around us see You instead of us. May we be Your people proclaiming through our lives that You are real and that You love us and make a real difference in our lives.

Abba, please pour Your healing Shalom upon all of Your people. Bring Your healing in every area where it is needed. Please cause all of us to rise up and use the gifts You have blessed us with for Your kingdom. May we not be presumptuous, Abba, but may we boldly move as You have called us to move. May we not lose heart or grow weary in well doing.

Abba, please lead us and direct us to those who need that cup of water, that clothing, that meal, that word of kindness. Lead us to the widow and the orphan who need help…to the poor, the hungry and thirsty. Lead us to the couple who need help to keep their marriage together. Lead us to those who need to be set free from the many bondages that exist in this world. Help us to share with others the Good News that You unlocked all of our chains of bondage. Keep us faithful to You as You are faithful to us. B’shem Yeshua

Death…is such a hard thing

February 6, 2011

Death…is such a hard thing.

Abba, I have heard of so many deaths recently. So many loved ones lost. As Your children, we have hope that we will see our loved ones again. But sometimes we are unsure of where our loved ones really stand.

Abba, we know that You desire that none should perish. We know that You give every person ample chances to accept You. We also know that many who reject You are really rejecting a caricature of You. They have never really been shown who You really are.

We rely upon Your mercy, Abba, to show them the truth about You…even in those last moments of life. You see the hearts of people. You know if they are truly seeking You or not. Please reveal Yourself to those who are seeking.

Abba, I lift up to You all of our loved ones who do not profess to follow You and Your Son Yeshua. I pray that their hearts and their eyes will be opened to see You. I also pray that, even if it is in their last moments here on this earth, they will accept Your love for them.

Please comfort those who have lost loved ones. Please give them a reassurance about those who have passed on into the realm of death. Help them to rest in You…knowing that You love their loved ones way more than they ever could. A lost soul grieves You and You do everything You can to reach each person.

Thank You, Abba, for loving us SO much. b’shem Yeshua

January 21 Prayer

January 23, 2011

Abba, You are so amazing. Your love for us in nothing short of incredible. Thank You for touching us and for filling us with Your Spirit. Thank You for considering us worth saving. You could have allowed rebellious mankind to stay separated from You for eternity, but instead, You made a way for us to run into Your throne room. You made a way for us to be cleansed. I praise You and thank You for that.

Abba, You have children who are facing losses…losses of loved ones, losses of homes, losses of jobs. Please comfort them, Abba, and help them to remember that You care for all of Your creation…from the tiniest of creatures we are unable to even see to the crown of Your creation…mankind. Please bring reconciliation where it is needed. Bring forgiveness. Bring Your healing Shalom.

Abba, there are many that You have raised up to speak Your healing words to this hurting world. There are many You have called to love the “unlovely”. There are many You have called to reach out to the poor…to the widow…to the orphaned…to the fatherless…to the motherless. Will we hear Your call? Please open our hearts to Your Spirit. Help us to hear Your voice and help us to obey Your calling!

Abba, teach us how to love You with all of our hearts, our souls, our minds and our strengths. Teach us how to love our neighbors as our selves. Teach us how to love one another. Abba, help us to see others as You see them. Help us to love with the love of Yeshua. May we be His hands, His feet, His voice, His heart to a world that so desperately needs Him. Just as Yeshua came to show us You, may our walking in Your Holy Spirit show Yeshua and You to the world. b’shem Yeshua
