Victory and Presence

February 6, 2009

Yahweh wants us to have victory and He wants to be with us. That is what my bible says!

Yahweh led the people out of Egypt where they were in bondage and slavery. He brought them back to the land which He gave to Abraham.  Part of that land is what we know as Israel today.

At the time He brought them to that land, there were other nations living there…nations who had persistently ignored and defied Him with their worship of, and sacrifices to, false gods. This is what Moshe/Moses told the people:

Deu 31:3  “It is the LORD your God who will cross ahead of you; He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua is the one who will cross ahead of you, just as the LORD has spoken.
Deu 31:4  “The LORD will do to them just as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, when He destroyed them.
Deu 31:5  “The LORD will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandments which I have commanded you.
Deu 31:6  “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
Deu 31:7  Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.
Deu 31:8  “The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Yahweh was going to go in with His people to conquer these lands. He was going to give them the victory. All they had to do was to obey Him. The previous chapter explains that in more depth.  Sadly, they only obeyed Him partially and that disobedience had consequences that never really went away.

Disobedience is like that. It is never just a one time thing that leaves no trace. It always has some kind of lasting consequences, even if it is only that our own hearts are effected, causing a rift in our heart connection with our Creator.

Thankfully, we serve a loving God and He has made a way for us to come to Him when we have disobeyed Him. Through Yeshua/Jesus our heart connection to Him can be restored and we can be healed. There still might be some consequences in this life that we have to walk through, but He will be with us as we do it.

How about you? How is your heart connection with Yahweh, your Creator? Have you obeyed our heavenly Abba/Father by accepting His Son Yeshua/Jesus? Are you obeying the teachings of Yeshua/Jesus which leave you in the loving protection and presence of Yahweh? Or are you making your own rules and stepping out of His protection, leaving yourself vulnerable?

I hope your heart is in the former situation. There is no other place to be…and it is truly a wondrous place.

If your heart is in the latter situation, I beg of you to please seek Yahweh with all of your heart. Seek your heavenly Abba/Father through Yeshua/Jesus, His Son. The consequences of not doing so are serious…and eternal.

Do you doubt His existence? Read His Word…the bible…and ask Him to show Himself to you as real. If you are serious and are really seeking Him with all your heart, He will show Himself to be real. He promises that.

Do you doubt that He really even cares about you? Read His Word…the bible…and ask Him to show you something that lets you know that He cares about you. He will do it. He loves you and wants you to be reconciled to Him.

Have you strayed from Him? Go back to Him. He is waiting for you!
