Prayer for Trust

April 29, 2010

Abba…trust, trust, trust is the theme that has been so on my heart and mind the last couple of weeks or so. Will we trust You? Abba, “life” can come against Your people in so many ways…yet we know that You are sovereign. I praise You that You are sovereign. I am thankful that nothing can happen that You do not either allow or cause. That is hard, Abba, especially when things happen that seem to be hurtful. I praise You that You take all things and use them for good…even the “bad” things.

Abba, although all of Your children are subject to the things of life, we also know there is a spiritual adversary who is against You at every point. That means he is against all those who serve You. Your leaders are very dedicated to Your service and so are their families. So they are primary targets of the adversary.

Please, Abba, I ask that You will make Your presence known to all of them in a very special way. When they are attacked financially…help them to trust You for provision…to trust that You will take care of them in the way the best fits Your plan for them and Your plan overall. When they are hit with illness…help them to trust You to work through that illness…to trust that You will heal in Your time…even if it means the ultimate healing of bringing them Home. When they are slandered…help them to trust You for their reputation…to trust that You will use the attack in way most beneficial to them and to Your kingdom. When they are grieving…help them to trust that You are right there with them…walking them through it. Help them to trust that You will bring comfort.

Abba…sometimes trusting can be such a challenge. We hurt. We see injustice. We see bad things happening. Yet…we also know that there will come a time when all will be revealed. You will make everything known…and You will be here as Judge. Thank You, Abba, that all the bad things we have done have been covered by what Yeshua did for us. Please help us to trust You. Please help us to pray for those who come against us. Help us to remember that You are doing something much bigger than we can see. Help us to trust You completely and fully.

Along with that trust, Abba, help us to love You with all of our hearts, souls, minds and strengths. Help us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Help us to love the ones who are not acting in a loving manner. Help us to be Your light in a darkened world to darkened hearts. Help us to trust You to not allow our hearts to become bitter and hardened.

I praise You, Abba, for You are trustworthy! You are worthy of praise! I love You, Abba, and ask all these things b’shem Yeshua.
